It was actually my plan to travel toVictoria so I can personally see the beauty of The Twelve Apostles as well as the entire Great Ocean Road, but eventually, I’ve decided to cancel it after knowing that the Melbourne Cup 2008 has been scheduled this week. Customarily, the plane ticket and accommodation are, during this time, very costly. I could see some impracticality of spending much penny to pursue this trip urgently considering my target of an indefinite stay in this country. Besides, a Filipina friend from Quezon invited me to come to Glenelg as she and her long-time Australian lover are scheduled to utter their marriage vows on Saturday, the 8th of November. [I am quite excited, this will be my first time to attend a wedding ceremony here in Australia.]
Meanwhile, it’s time to relax, read and leave some comments in my favourite blogs. It’s almost summer Down Under but here I am, hibernating inside my quarter.
While I’m lying down in bed to hibernate in my shed,
Manure and litter are moved out of the CHICKEN’S SHELTER—
its walls and ceiling will undergo intensive washing,
with the feed- and drink-line; disinfection is next in line!
Yes, it’s time for recreation, and fine relaxation!
But MY MIND can’t find an opportunity to unwind!
My brain is loaded with heavy dust of anxieties,
My wits are infected with malignant uncertainties!
My thought, like the chook shed, is grubby and contaminated!
Yet unlike the chook shed, it can’t be washed and disinfected!
