The Noongar Idigenous people once occupied the area until the Italian Benedictine monks arrived in 1851. The said religious order named the place after Subiaco, in the Province of Rome in Lazio, Italy.

Naalala ko yung isang play na napanood ko maraming taon na ang nakakaraan. Dun sa play poster, nakalarawan ang isang lalaking naghihintay sa ilalim ng puno.

iba naman naiisip ko kapag nakaka-kita ako ng indiano.. haha
when i first read the name Subiaco, una kong naisip yung sa benedictine order. And voila! yun nga! haha. i studied under benedictine order kasi so i'm familiar with it. :)
First time i heard Subiaco, pretty interesting fact about that.... Did the lady see you taking picture? ;-)
